Becoming a volunteer with Drug ARM

If you are passionate about helping people build a better life, Drug ARM has a wide range of volunteering opportunities available. We have offices across New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia – each with unique opportunities to get involved. At Drug ARM, there are three main types of volunteering where you can make an impact.
Working directly with clients
You can provide help on the front line of our services through our Community and Family Support Service (CAFSS), Street Outreach Services (SOS), Clean Needle Program or Schoolies Week. Volunteering in our client services is a great opportunity if you are passionate about making a difference, have an interest in or already have experience working with people affected by mental health, alcohol and other drugs and homelessness or are interested in or currently studying youth work, community services, social work, psychology or other human services.

Volunteering your professional skills and knowledge
There are so many ways to lend your skills to help people. From administration work, interpreting and library services to gardening and vehicle maintenance. Let us match your skills to a great opportunity to give back and be a part of our team.

Getting creative
Want to put your creativity to good use? Our marketing and fundraising division accepts volunteers to assist with events, copywriting, digital media, campaigns and fundraising. Internships are available for students of journalism, communications, business, marketing, public relations and other creative industries who want to expand on their studies. Many of our volunteers go on to gain employment in the alcohol and other drug sector or broader community services sector with the skills they learn while at Drug ARM.

No matter what area of volunteering you are interested in, Drug ARM provides its volunteers with challenging and rewarding learning experiences and the chance to make life-long friendships.

We need volunteers in all states so register your interest by filling out the form below. By clicking on the "Submit" button below you agree that the information you provide will be governed by this site's Privacy Policy.
