MOSHPIT provides a unique mobile outreach and health service to people at risk of homelessness and disadvantaged groups in inner city Brisbane. The MOSHPIT van offers a fully equipped on board health centre, providing dressings for minor wounds, checkups, referrals to other agencies and support in gaining housing if required.
MOSHPIT is run by full time coordinators and staffed by a range of professionals from Drug ARM and its service partners, which include Centrelink officers, nurses, counsellors and volunteers.
MOSHPIT is supported by Centrelink, St Luke’s Nursing Service, QML, Mater Mothers, SQWISI and Biala Sexual Health.
