The Getting It Together (GIT) program seeks to provide early intervention for ‘at risk’ young people aged 25 years or under. GIT aims to assist young people in building strategies to reduce drug and alcohol misuse, and other risk taking behaviours. Boggabilla Youth Centre (GIT hub) provides a safe nurturing environment for the youth of the Boggabilla and Toomelah communities. Projects and programs created by GIT are designed to foster a development of ‘self’, allowing young people to experience leadership, self-determination and empathy. GIT seeks to empower young people by encouraging them to express their passions, and aims to promote positive career choices and meaningful lives.
